You are cordially invited to join us, the Kachin National Organization (USA), in our protest on October 9th, 2006 at 11:00 am across the Union of Myanmar military attaché office.

In response to worsening human rights situations, alarming health, social, and financial crisis in Kachinland and all through out Burma; we are displaying our solidarity with 234th Anti-Dictatorship Peoples Freedom Movement and Kachin communities across the globe to:

1) Denounce the reconvening of the National Convention
2) Protest against incarceration of ’88 Generation Students Group leaders, 4th Battalion KIO servicemen and other political prisoners.
3) Urge “Tripartite Dialogue” between elected leaders, ethnic national leaders, and the current military regime.
4) Demand Kachin Delegates (KIO, NDA-K, and KDA) to walk out of the sham convention.
Please note that this is an outdoor event. Ethnic costumes are greatly promoted.

We would like to invite you to participate in a demonstration infront of Burmese Embassy on 6th October 2006 between 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The aim of demonstration is to denounce Burmese military's the National Convention, which will be reconvened on 10th of October 2006. This is a part of Kachin National Organization's plan to counter seven steps road map of Burmese military regime trying to legitimize its role political in Union Of Burma.
